Guerilla knitting, or the knitted city

And what if we started knitting on the street? What will happen when yarn entangles urban architecture? Against what can you use a crochet hook or knitting needles no. 5 as a weapon? Our presentation of guerilla knitting is aimed at sparking an open debate on (possible, but not unproblematic) revolutionary potential of knitting in/for public places.

So much for the mind. Now a handicraft task: with yarn and crochet hooks available on site, we will knit hand-made flowers following simple instructions and – verifying in practice what knitted bombardment of the city can work – we will attack a fraction of urban space. A fence, tree, handrail, street lamp, statue...
